The motifs on this pendant
The motifs on this pendant
Traditional Lakshmi kasu motifs run across three rows of gold-toned beads, finished with delicate Ila, or leaf-shaped, danglers that move gently with every step. The layered rows and the dangling leaf elements together are what give the Ilakkathali its characteristic movement and light.
Styling & Occasions
Styling & Occasions
Pair Swarna Kasu Ilakkathali with a Kanchipuram silk or tissue silk saree from Prabha's Heritage, or an ivory saree in the Kasavu styling tradition. Complete the look with jasmine-adorned hair, antique-finish bangles and a classic bindi.
It suits Kerala and South Indian weddings, Onam, Vishu, temple visits, bridal ceremonies and classical dance performances. For grand bridal styling, layer it with a Kasu Mala or temple Haaram from Pavizham by Prabha's Heritage for a fuller South Indian bridal silhouette.

Care & Storage
Care & Storage
Pavizham by Prabha's Heritage is premium heritage imitation jewellery. Our pieces use a brass-alloy base with either an antique gold-plated or a premium micro gold-plated finish, as stated on each product page — not solid gold, not gold covering, and we do not quote a gold content.
Stones are described by their visible tone: ruby-toned, emerald-toned, AD-toned, clear-toned and pearl-like. We do not represent them as precious gemstones or natural pearls.
We do not publish nickel-free, hypoallergenic or anti-tarnish claims, because we have not verified them. If plated jewellery has irritated your skin before, message us before you order rather than after.

Questions buyers ask about this set
Questions buyers ask about this set
Is this real gold, or gold-plated?
Neither, strictly. Swarna Kasu Ilakkathali is premium heritage imitation jewellery from Pavizham by Prabha's Heritage: a brass alloy base with a luxury micro-plated gold finish. It is not solid gold and we do not describe it as gold covering or quote a gold content.
Does this come with matching earrings?
No. This listing is for the Ilakkathali choker only. Our Jhimikki and Kammal designs from Pavizham by Prabha's Heritage make a coordinated pairing.
What is an Ilakkathali, and what motifs does this one have?
Ilakkathali is a traditional Kerala choker style. This one carries traditional Lakshmi kasu motifs across three rows of gold-toned beads, finished with delicate Ila, or leaf-shaped, danglers that move gently as you walk.
What length is this necklace, and how does it fasten?
It measures approximately 13–15 inches, designed as a choker that sits close to the base of the neck. An adjustable back chain gives a secure, comfortable fit.
Are the stones on this necklace real rubies?
No. They are described by their visible tone, ruby-toned, and are not represented as precious gemstones.
Is this jewellery skin-friendly?
We do not publish a nickel-free or hypoallergenic claim on this piece, because we have not verified one. The base is a brass alloy with a micro-plated gold finish. If plated jewellery has irritated your skin before, message us before ordering.
What saree or occasion suits this necklace?
It suits Kerala and South Indian weddings, Onam, Vishu, temple visits, bridal ceremonies and classical dance performances. A Kanchipuram silk or tissue silk saree from Prabha's Heritage sits well with it; an ivory or cream saree in the Kasavu styling tradition is another classic pairing.
Can I layer this with another necklace?
Yes. For grand bridal styling, layer it with a Kasu Mala or temple Haaram from Pavizham by Prabha's Heritage for a fuller South Indian bridal silhouette.
How do I care for this necklace so the finish lasts?
Keep it away from water, perfume, sweat and chemicals. Wear it after makeup and perfume, remove it before bathing or exercise, wipe it gently with a soft dry cloth after use, and keep it in the Pavizham jewellery box it arrived in.
What do I do if it arrives damaged or the wrong item comes?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your Order ID and one continuous, uncut 360° unboxing video that begins with the sealed parcel and clearly shows the shipping label. Damaged or incorrect items are the exception to the final-sale rule, and that video is what lets us act on the claim.
How quickly will it reach me, and do you deliver abroad?
Dispatch is normally 2–3 business days, then 3–5 business days to major metros and 5–7 elsewhere in India, with free standard shipping on prepaid orders. Cash on Delivery is available on eligible domestic orders below ₹5,000, with a non-refundable ₹250 handling fee. We also ship worldwide to supported destinations; customs duty and local charges are payable by the recipient.
