Refold it periodically to prevent crease lines and zari stress, and keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight. Always fold and store flat rather than hanging it for long periods.

Keep the main blouse in plain lavender silk with a high, simple neckline and fully covered back.

Use the supplied zari border to create short, structured cape-style sleeve extensions that sit over a fitted inner sleeve in matching lavender. The cape should be modest and restrained — not exaggerated or contemporary-looking.

This allows the authentic zari to become a beautiful shoulder-level bridal feature while leaving the bodice clean for jewellery.

Traditional Double-Band Sleeve Blouse with Modest Curved Neck

Use a shallow, softly curved high neckline, distinctly different from the previously used leaf-curve, round and scalloped treatments, with a completely covered back.

Use fitted sleeves just above elbow length. Divide the supplied zari border carefully to create two controlled horizontal zari bands near the sleeve hem, separated by a narrow strip of lavender silk.

Keep the bodice completely plain.

This creates a very traditional Kanchipuram blouse treatment while giving the broad supplied border a more tailored appearance.

Modest High-Neck Blouse with Zari Shoulder Panels

Keep the front neckline high and clean and the back fully covered. Use narrow portions of the supplied zari border as structured shoulder panels extending only from the neckline towards the sleeve seam.

The remainder of the bodice and fitted elbow-length sleeves stay plain lavender.

This concentrates the gold near the face and shoulders, making it particularly effective with a shorter traditional necklace while avoiding additional embroidery or embellishment.
