What is Pure Mix Kanchipuram Silk?

Pure Mix Kanchipuram Silk is a Kanchipuram silk-blend saree composed of 80% silk and 20% mixed fibre. It brings together the richness and traditional character of Kanchipuram weaving in a more accessible fabric composition. As it is not 100% pure silk, it does not carry a Silk Mark tag.

Does this saree come with a Silk Mark tag?

No. This saree is composed of 80% silk and 20% mixed fibre and is therefore not classified as 100% pure silk. It does not come with a Silk Mark tag. Our qualifying Pure Kanchipuram Silk sarees are separately identified and dispatched with a Silk Mark tag.

Why doesn't this saree have a border?

This is an intentionally borderless Kanchipuram weave. The deep peacock teal body is designed without a conventional contrast border, allowing the temple arch–inspired zari buttas and the rose-mauve pallu to take centre stage.

What is the temple arch motif on this saree?

Each butta across the body combines a graceful arched silhouette, echoing a temple arch, with radiating zari lines and structured geometric detailing. It is a distinctive motif not seen on our other borderless designs.

What does the pallu look like?

The saree is finished with a contrasting dusty rose-mauve pallu, enriched with intricate zari texturing and traditional ornamental bands, creating a soft, elegant contrast against the deep peacock teal body.

What does the name Madhyamavati Mayil Vaibhavam mean?

It is named for Raaga Madhyamavati, a serene and auspicious raaga in Carnatic music, and belongs to our Raaga Layam of Kanchipuram collection. Mayil Vaibhavam means the splendour of the peacock, reflected in the saree's Mayil Neelam, or peacock-blue, body tone.

Does this saree come with a blouse?

Yes. A dusty rose-mauve contrast running blouse comes attached, finished with a zari border.

What is the length of this saree?

The saree measures approximately 5.5 metres, with an additional 0.8-metre blouse piece.

Are fall and pico done before dispatch?

Fall and pico are not included, allowing you to have the saree finished by your preferred tailor according to your draping style and requirements.
