Yes. Kambhoji Kanaka Kesari is a handloom-woven Pure Korvai Kanchipuram Silk saree from Prabha’s Heritage’s Raaga Layam of Kanchipuram collection. It is Silk Mark certified and is dispatched with a Silk Mark tag, issued under the authority of the Central Silk Board of India — our promise that every thread is genuine.

What is a Korvai border, and does this saree have one?

Yes, this saree has a genuine Korvai border. Korvai is the traditional Kanchipuram technique where the contrast border is woven separately on its own warp and interlocked with the body by hand, rather than woven continuously with it. This creates the saree’s clean crimson-red and gold-toned contrast against the turmeric-orange body.

What does the name Kambhoji Kanaka Kesari mean?

It is named for Raaga Kambhoji, a celebrated Carnatic raaga, and belongs to our Raaga Layam of Kanchipuram collection. Kanaka Kesari reflects the saree’s luminous golden-saffron and turmeric-orange body with regal gold-toned Korvai ornamentation.

What is the design on the body of this saree?

The open turmeric-orange and golden-orange body features large, spaced gold-toned paisley-inspired motifs. Their scale allows the saturated orange silk and its natural tonal movement to remain visible.

What does the border look like?

The broad gold-toned Korvai border sits on a crimson-red ground and carries peacock, floral and paisley-inspired ornamentation, together with a patterned outer gold-toned band.

What does the pallu look like?

The crimson-red contrast pallu has dense gold-toned geometric and foliate weaving, framed by richly ornamented panels and repeated peacock, floral and paisley-inspired detailing.

Does this saree come with a blouse?

Yes. A coordinated crimson-red blouse piece comes with the saree, finished with a broad gold-toned woven border featuring matching peacock, floral and paisley-inspired ornamentation.

What is the length of this saree?

Approximately 5.5 metres of saree plus a 0.8 metre blouse piece.

Is fall and pico done before dispatch?

No. We do not offer fall, pico or other finishing services. The saree reaches you unfinished, so your own tailor can complete it to your preference along with the blouse. Altered sarees are not eligible for return or exchange.

What is the Heritage Journal?

Every saree is sent with the Prabha’s Heritage Journal, a printed note carrying the care instructions for your saree, blouse-stitching ideas and the story behind the Carnatic raaga the saree is named for. It is ours to give, not something you need to ask for.

How should I care for this silk saree?

Dry clean only to protect the silk and zari. Keep it away from water, perfume and deodorant, air it in shade after each wear, and store it wrapped in soft muslin so the fabric can breathe. Refold it along fresh lines from time to time so crease marks and zari stress do not set, and keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Ready-to-ship products are normally dispatched within 2–3 business days after payment confirmation. Delivery after dispatch is 3–5 business days to major metros and 5–7 business days elsewhere in India. Standard domestic shipping is free on prepaid orders, and tracking is shared by email, SMS or WhatsApp.

Can I return or exchange this saree?

An eligible request must be raised within 48 hours of delivery to wecare@prabhasheritage.co.in or WhatsApp +91 7356777369 with your Order ID. The saree must be unused, unworn and unwashed with tags, invoice and original packaging intact, and our approval is required before anything is sent back. Altered or customised sarees are not eligible. Transit damage, a missing item or an incorrect item requires one continuous, uncut 360° unboxing video beginning with the sealed parcel and showing the shipping label. Do you ship internationally, and who pays customs?

Yes, we ship worldwide to supported destinations. Charges and transit time depend on destination, parcel weight, order value and courier. Customs duty, import tax, brokerage and local charges are payable by the recipient unless expressly stated otherwise.

Is Cash on Delivery available on this saree?

No. This saree is priced at ₹18,999 and must be prepaid. Free standard domestic shipping applies to prepaid orders. COD is intended only for eligible domestic orders below ₹5,000, subject to delivery PIN code, courier acceptance and order verification.
