Colour: Rich crimson-red body with gold zari brocade weaving. The attached blouse piece is rich crimson-red body with the dual size zari border.

Blouse: Attached running blouse in crimson-red with a broad gold zari border featuring peacock motifs, geometric bands, and ornamental detailing. The plain silk field provides a beautiful contrast to the richly woven border.

Weave: Traditional Kanchipuram silk weaving with a dense, repeating floral zari brocade across the body. The saree features an asymmetric border arrangement, with a narrow upper border and a substantially broader lower border composed of large peacock motifs, chevron separators, fine geometric zari fields, and ornamental bands. The pallu incorporates closely arranged geometric patterns, longitudinal decorative panels, and peacock-inspired motifs. The blouse piece has a plain silk field with a broad figured zari border. This is an integrated-border saree and is not described as Korvai.

Yes. Kalyani Rajalakshmi Vaibhavam is pure Kanchipuram silk, handloom woven. Every pure silk saree we sell is dispatched with a Silk Mark tag, affixed before the saree leaves us.

Is the border on this saree Korvai?

No. This is an integrated-border saree, woven continuously with the body rather than as a separately interlocked Korvai border. We describe it as integrated because that is what it is; we do not use the term Korvai unless a saree genuinely has one.

What is the motif on the border and pallu?

Large peacock motifs run through the broad lower border and the pallu, alongside chevron separators, geometric zari fields and ornamental bands. The body itself carries a dense, repeating floral zari brocade throughout.

What does the name Kalyani Rajalakshmi Vaibhavam mean?

It is named for Raaga Kalyani, one of the most auspicious raagas in Carnatic music, and belongs to our Raaga Layam of Kanchipuram collection. Rajalakshmi Vaibhavam evokes royal grandeur and prosperity, reflected in the density of the zari brocade and the scale of the border.

No. We do not offer fall, pico or other finishing services. The saree reaches you unfinished, so your own tailor can complete it to your preference along with the blouse.

How should I care for this silk saree?

Dry clean only, to protect the silk and the zari. Keep it away from water, perfume and deodorant, air it in shade after each wear before it goes back into the wardrobe, and store it wrapped in soft muslin so the fabric can breathe. Refold it along fresh lines from time to time so crease marks and zari stress do not set, and keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight.

Is this saree suitable for a bride?

Yes. This is a bridal saree by design, with the density of zari brocade and the scale of the peacock border built for muhurtham and wedding ceremonies. It works equally for reception dressing where a strong, ceremonial presence is wanted.
