Bhairavi Aruna Prabha is a handloom pure Kanchipuram silk bridal saree named for Raaga Bhairavi, from our Raaga Layam of Kanchipuram collection. A deep magenta body is worked throughout with a dense gold zari lattice of florals and scrolling vines, meeting an exceptionally broad gold zari border and opening into a pallu of dense vertical ornamental panels.

How should I care for this silk saree?

Dry clean only, to protect the silk and the zari. Keep it away from water, perfume and deodorant, air it in shade after each wear before it goes back into the wardrobe, and store it wrapped in soft muslin so the fabric can breathe. Refold it along fresh lines from time to time so crease marks and zari stress do not set, and keep it away from moisture and direct sunlight.

1. Zari-Banded Traditional Elbow-Sleeve Blouse with Modest Leaf-Curve Neck — Recommended

Use a high, gently leaf-curved neckline, kept shallow and fully modest, with a completely covered back.

Keep the blouse body predominantly plain deep magenta and use the supplied broad zari border as a strong finishing band on fitted elbow-length sleeves.

A very fine self-fabric piping can define the neckline without introducing additional ornamentation.

Why this works: the graceful curve softens the grandeur of Bhairavi, while the broad zari sleeves visually connect the blouse to the monumental saree borders.

2. Modest Tulip-Panel Sleeve Blouse with Clean High Neck

Keep the front and back high and completely covered, allowing the sleeve construction to become the design feature.

Create overlapping tulip-style sleeve panels in the supplied magenta silk, but keep the overlap closed and modest. Introduce a controlled section of the authentic zari border beneath the overlap so that gold appears subtly as the sleeve moves.

The rest of the blouse remains plain.

This creates a feminine bridal detail without resorting to cut-outs, sheer fabric, stones or heavy embroidery.

3. Traditional Zari-Yoke Blouse with Plain Mid-Length Sleeves

Use part of the supplied zari border to construct a restrained upper yoke treatment, with the remaining blouse in plain deep magenta silk.
