Aruna Kusuma Tarangini is pure soft silk, handloom woven, part of our Tarangini Silks collection. It is dispatched with a Silk Mark tag, issued under the authority of the Central Silk Board of India — our promise that every thread is genuine. "1.5 warp" refers to the specific warp construction used in weaving this saree.

What is the design on this saree?

Spaced stylised floral bud motifs are worked across the deep maroon-red body, framed by a broad metallic zari-toned border with fine mustard-gold edging. The pallu shifts to mustard-gold, with a tonal woven geometric field and decorative geometric side bands.

What does the name Aruna Kusuma Tarangini mean?

Aruna Kusuma Tarangini means a flowing wave of crimson blossoms, reflecting the saree's warm maroon-red body and its scattered floral bud motifs. This saree is part of our Tarangini Silks collection and does not carry a Carnatic raaga association.

What comes with this saree, and can it be customised?

An attached mustard-gold contrast blouse piece with a zari border comes with the saree, at approximately 5.5 metres of saree plus a 0.8 metre blouse piece. Fall and pico are not included, so you can have the saree finished by your preferred tailor to your own draping style. Every saree also comes with the Prabha's Heritage Journal, a printed note with care guidance and blouse-stitching inspiration.

How should I care for this saree?

Dry clean is recommended. Avoid direct contact with water, perfumes and sprays; air the saree after each wear before storing it folded in soft muslin or cotton. Refold periodically to prevent permanent creasing, and keep away from moisture and direct sunlight.
